I am the secretary of this association of men who were stationed at Eindhoven during the late 1940’s until 1962.
We had a contingent of our members attend the 2009 celebrations and brought along The RAF Halton Pipe & Drum Band. We also brought along one of our members who was at the airfield soon after the liberation and he was in attendance with the Mayor at the reception on the evening of the 18th.
We have been back to Eindhoven on several occasions for the Liberation Celebrations and always had a very good reaction from the towns people who greet us with great respect for which we thank them.
My brother was one of the British soldiers who passed through Eindhoven up to Sonn for that epic battle. I bless the fact that he survived the war.
Although all my members will be in their 80’s for the 70th anniversary I hope to be there to march with them through the streets of Eindhoven as before.

way to call my pictures bland, damn swede . All post-production is done in Adobe Lightroom, not as heavy as PS, but still pretty heavy. Shooting in RAW kinda forces you to use Lightroom I think.

That’s actually pretty cool. Stupid me never really realized such a simple thing as cropping could save an otherwise bland/boring picture.

Which application do you use to crop? (thinking something a bit less heavy-weight than say, PS)

Yepz, emo op zn tijd is de moeite. Totdat je deathcab for cutie gaat luisteren…
Maar ik denk dat dat ook de reden is dat Wil en Anita de hele tijd zeiden “maar je hoeft helemaal niet naar Amerika, achteraf vindt iedereen het internationaal semester leuk, ongeacht waar ze heen gaan”. Een groot deel van de dingen die je meemaakt staan los van universiteit en stad en maak je volgens mij dus overal net zo goed mee.
Maar inderdaad, tijd om Singapore af te sluiten en me te richten op Nederland, met aan de ene kan minder lekker eten en waar, maar aan de andere kant THC, goede feestjes en gewoon routine! Zie je in Eindhoven.
